I haven't posted in about a week. I joined a local gym where a few local teachers workout. I have been going at 9:00 A.M. every morning. Needless to say this is before I would usually wake up. I am sore in places that I did not even know existed and I haven't even started cardio yet. I am just lifting weights now, but plan on starting cardio next week. The guys I'm working out with are killing me. Although the gym membership comes with a spa. It has been real nice to sit in the hottub after working out.
Things have been real quiet around here. I have been taking it easy and trying to not spend that much money so that I can buy a Christmas gift for my self. Click here to see what I'm going to buy.
I think that I'm going to miss the sights and sounds of Christmas. I mean no A Christmas Story 24 hours a day. No smell of the freshly cut tree in the den. No eggnogg with extra nogg. I will not miss the hordes of people out shopping. Hmmmm.....Can't get away from that one.
And not being with my family for the Holidays is going to be different. I still don't know what we are going to do for Christmas around here, but I am sure that it will be fun. I did see some Christmas decorations up near Suwon. Also, HomePlus has one whole bin for Christmas decor.
In other news, I finally went to the English Mass at Godeung Dong Catholic Church in Suwon. I really enjoyed it and it seems to be the place I will go from now on. My first experience was interesting. I had to be a lector. I arrived very early. I was sitting in my pew and waiting for Mass to start. Then a nun walked over, She asked me if I would be a lector. I tried to say no, but the words "ok....I'll do it" came out. I have not way to explain this. This happened back home as well. I just can't say no. I was also asked to join the choir. Next week I am going to go early so that I can practice with the choir. The Bishop will be there for the next Mass. The congregation consisted of mainly Filipino migrant workers and a few teachers mixed in. I could have swore that I heard some Spanish as well. I got really nervous speaking. I am glad that I did not have too long to think about it though. I had to wear a robe as well. They don't have many lectors my size. The robe came to above my knees. I am looking forward to becoming a member of this community. They are going to have a Christmas party and I am sure that I will attend. It was really great walking into the chapel. I felt like I was back home. Everything was in the same place. This was one of the first places in Korea where I have felt this way. I also met a Sister who works for the Emmaus project? They have a migrant workers counseling office. I don't know enough about the migrant workers in Korea, but I believe that I will try to volunteer here. I will take my camera next week and update with some pictures of the church.
My classes are going great. We are finishing up the month. I have been busy writing reportcards. I have some really great classes. I hate that I am going to lose them in January. Although, It will be nice to have a new bunch of kids.
Thats my boring week in a nutshell!!!!!! See warning above about me rambling.

I like your blog... omg, this sounds like one of those spam comments. I assure you it isn't! Anyway, your title intrigued me. I can't imagine two more different places than Mississippi and Korea!
