I was looking for trips on the Trans-Siberian Railway. I stumbled upon this site. I don't know how recent the information is, but this guy really has lots of great info. Seat61 I want to do this when my contract is up. I may have to wait for year two though. I would like to be able to break up the trip and spend sometime in Ulan Bator and Moscow before making my way to Germany and Italy. If anyone out there has ever taken this trip, please give me an email. I would like to hear your thoughts.

My friend Robin did it a few years back. Loved it. Ditto on the difficult papers.
