Long Weekend!...again.

Well, this past Friday was Children's day. I didn't have to work. It made the week really short, since I was off on Monday for Office Workers Day. I have gotten spoiled too. I don't want to work tomorrow and I know that I will not want to go in on Friday either. Before I go on do you know this word..............................COMPUNCTION?

compunction, remorse, self-reproach

a feeling of deep regret (usually for some misdeed
)

은진 treated us to this vast knowledge of vocabulary Thursday night. I had no idea what it meant. I was going to try and hide my ignorance(which I'm happy to say I do well) until Ryan didn't know either. Then I thought ok she is getting the word wrong. I sat there trying to figure out what word she could have mispronounced. After showing it to us in the dictionary........I had ...Well....Compunction for thinking she was making up a word. :)

Friday, I got up and met 재연 at Geumjung. From there we went to Myungdong. The weather was great. It was a cloudy, but not hot at all. We walked around the shopping district for awhile and then ate Chinese. This area was very crowded. There were also a lot of Japanese tourist walking around. From there we went to a small folk village and I can't remember the Korean name, but the translation is The Village of Traditional Homes. You can click on the link to see a photo and description. I had never been here before and it was really cool. I wish that I would have had a camera that was working. I felt naked without a camera it seems everyone around me had one. The village was a bit crowded everyone was there with their children and we also got to see the time capsule. This will be opened in 2394. I don't think we will be around to see this. This area also had a cool waterfall/garden area we sat here for awhile. Watch out for the SUPER AJUMMAS they travel in groups. We left here and went back to Yeongtong. We had Galbi for dinner. I attempted to order dinner for us in Korean. The lady understood everything I said except that it wasn't a Galbi restaurant it was Bulgolgi. This is seasoned meat and just like Galbi. She turned and asked me something and 재연 had to take over from there. Hey I did ask for and get one serving of rice. Later, We met up with Ryan and 은진 and went to see Mission Impossible. It was a very good. Cheesy in parts maybe 3.25 stars. out of 4.00. I would recommend it though action non stop. Friday was an awesome day.

Saturday it rained all day. It was a great day to be lazy and stay inside. The 4 of us met up for coffee that evening and then rented Old School. I have seen this a few hundred times. I think this is Hall's favorite movie and he and I really did watch it all the time.

We're going streaking!!!!

I can't talk about the punk rock stars yet. I'm waiting on the pictures and still don't know if I will post them. I can't go into any more details without laughing uncontrollably.

Sunday was another lazy day. 재연 and I spent the day studying Korean. I learned such handy phrases as I'm full, Leave me alone, What are you doing, Hurry, Let's hurry, Did you have a good weekend, and You look pretty today!. I know there were other new words that she taught me. I will have to review this week. I'm sure she will test me. I would type these in Korean, but I don't have Hangul on my computer and it takes me forever to type it out.

Overall, it was an awesome weekend. I got to spend a lot of time with 재연. This weekend we are going to check out Sky Park and I have to buy some new clothes. I have to have some shorts to wear for the summer. The ones I have now are way too big. Maybe I will be able to figure out my camera so I can have pics for next week.
