We left the cave and found a small market to buy some meat, soju and beer. Troy and Joanne took care of the meat and JJ and I went in search of some beverages. There was a really cute miniature pincher that was sitting on a sofa with the owner of the small store. He let me pet him, but when I stopped to take a picture, he suddenly forgot that he was a miniature.
Bad ass Dog

We got back to the pension and rested for awhile. I went out to try and grab a couple of HDR photos.(seen below)
Cornfield HDR
Right outside our door. I wish I would have gotten more of the field and less of the fence.

and then the pension owner, Troy and I got everything ready for our cookout. Again, I loved Gangwon-do kimchi. We had some great meat and had an enjoyable evening under the moonlight.

Eating and cooking at the same time
You can see that the temperature at night was definitely lower. After eating and drinking too much, it was way too easy to fall asleep. Sunday was a very busy day, but I didn't take too many photos...Only one more update to go!

It definitely looks like a great time! It's funny, when I was back in the US, I longed for soju, but not that I'm back, I can't recall how much I've actually had, since I've been drinking whiskey again. Maybe those 5 cases of Fresh did me in.
RE: the fence photo
It's actually a good photo, since there are several lines leading the viewer. Over the years, I've found that fences have been my greatest friends when composing a shot. I should really play with HDR more, but since I don't have my camera here and enjoy not having to mess with Photoshop, I guess I'll have to make due with simple editing.
Looks like the four of you had some great times!
I'm drooling...I know you're not having anything fancy, but it's authentic vs what's avail. over here in the US...
@Qiranger: I go through the same spells with soju and whiskey. I usually but a bottle of whiskey at Songtan every couple of months. It takes me about 1 to 2 weeks to finish it and then I am good for awhile. Speaking of photoshop, I have been trying to learn more and more, but am pretty much stuck until I get a new computer. I am still trying to find a balance of HDR that I really like.
@RunwithKim You are right and I think that this is what I am going to miss the most when we move back to Mississippi a couple months from now.
Great photos. Good luck with preparing for the move back stateside.
